God’s Angels Will Eventually Stop Visiting Earth.

The title of this article is deliberately provocative, but it also happens to be true.

Celestial spirits who are developing in divine love are being drawn further away from all things earthly all the time, into higher and higher realms of the celestial kingdom. At present, their desire to be of service causes them to come back to the earth plane to help us. But we shouldn’t assume this state of affairs is permanent. We’re told that a time will come when they will no longer minister to those outside the kingdom who’ve chosen other paths to them. That as a result of the law of progression, they will collectively move on to fulfill some other purpose in God’s vast creation. This will happen when the doors to the celestial kingdom are closed to new entrants (as explained in the Padgett Messages). Whether humans will still exist on earth at that time is not clear. They may or they may not.

The issue of the possible permanent separation of different communities of humans and spirits is fraught with difficulties that we struggle to understand in our current spiritual state. The narrative I’m presenting here, which on the surface appears to be about growing apart rather than growing together, runs contrary to what many of us believe about the ultimate unity of all that exists. Which is what I believe in. That is why great caution is needed in evaluating the truths being presented here, in isolation from other facts that are currently unknown that would give us a more complete picture. Although no one knows all the facts surrounding the closing of the celestial kingdom, some of the forces driving this apparent schism are clear.

As mentioned, those who have chosen the divine path are growing further and further away in a spiritual sense from those who have chosen a different path, all of which lead only to the perfection of the natural love that all are born with. This state of perfection represents a ceiling for that path. For those who choose to develop in divine love there is no ceiling. So, eventually, all divine beings will exist in a truly rarified spiritual atmosphere compared to those who don’t. The spiritual distance between these different communities will create ever increasing problems in terms of a basic lack of compatibility. Over time, it seems the power of the law of attraction will inevitably reduce and this may well become a factor in each community going their own way.

There are some pointers that indicate what I’ve stated is indeed the direction of travel. Each point is subtle but, taken together, they show that the less compatible different groups are, the less they interact. Even allowing for the desire celestials have to help others, there are clearly limits to what they can do. Here are some examples.

Celestial beings tell us that once a human has chosen divine love, it enables them to be with that person and guide them. If a human doesn’t make that choice then their hands are tied, so to speak, and the attraction is just not there to any meaningful extent.

In the Padgett Messages, we’re told that if no attraction exists between two spirits then they may never meet again in all eternity, regardless of any human relationship that may have at one time existed between them.

We’re also told that, in relation to the highest natural love heavens, the occupants there are the least likely to be open to any invitation to embrace divine love, compared to those who exist in lower realms. Since all who are on the natural love path will eventually reach these heavens then it seems an impasse will come about, where, despite all the efforts being made on their behalf, the occupants of these heavens will choose not to progress any further. The law of progression supposedly doesn’t allow anyone to remain in any one particular condition for ever, so the future of these spirits is uncertain.

High spirits have wonderful powers of healing but it’s revealing that a less developed spirit is sometimes used as a go-between, as they can have a greater ability to tune into and manipulate the heavier vibrations found in and around the human body. This is evidence of an increasing lack of harmony between humans and the most elevated spirits.

Also, it’s easier for a psychic medium to be in rapport with a lower spirit than a divine one. It seems that the less compatible a spirit is with a particular environment, the more they struggle to manifest their being and abilities there. Again, a lack of compatibility is seen to be a problem.

Another fact is that the further away a spirit is from the earth in spiritual terms, the longer it takes and the more difficult it is for them to get here, as they have to make their way through many intervening realms. It can be inferred from this that at some point this form of travel may no longer be feasible as divine spirits progress ever higher. (The fact that high spirits have developed workarounds to this and other problems I’ve mentioned doesn’t change the fundamentals.)

Another curious fact is that high spirits are often less influential with dark spirits than those who are closer to the dark spirits’ own level. Quite simply, dark spirits are more likely to relate to and listen to someone they feel more in harmony with. Again, we see an increasing lack of harmony and compatibility being an issue in interactions as some spirits progress much further from others. This may explain why there doesn’t appear to be a pronounced snowball effect as more spirits join the celestial kingdom – it seems those outside don’t generally perceive celestial beings as anything special (if they perceive them at all). In short, spiritual blindness is least likely to be obvious to those who suffer from it, like when we’re dreaming but are convinced at the time that our dream is real.

So it seems a growing apart of different spiritual communities is inevitable. As an analogy consider the fact that the space between galaxies in the universe is known to be expanding, causing them to move further apart, like points on the surface of a balloon that is being inflated. Does this have any spiritual significance and if so, then what is it? Could there be a counter balancing force that we’re not aware of that will kick in and change things? Or is the extra space being created a fundamental part of God’s plans for eternal creation, even though it appears to involve a literal growing apart of any life forms in those galaxies? Who can say?

There will always be limits to our understanding, especially while still in a human body. Speculation about things we don’t understand isn’t likely to be illuminating. However, I’ve deliberately said very little indeed that will be entirely new to divine love practitioners. What I’m talking about may make us uncomfortable but the message I’m presenting isn’t really about the future ability of angels to visit the earth (which is open to question while the full facts are unclear). It’s to show that the consequences of our freewill choices can be very far reaching. It’s not only our actions that can have very significant consequences for our future. Inaction can as well. God presents us with opportunities and choices, and if we wilfully ignore what is placed in front of us then that opportunity may be withdrawn. One of these choices that each of us has to make is regarding divine love and a future in the celestial kingdom.

It seems divine beings will become so exalted that they will no longer be readily perceptible to humans or other lower spirits, similar to how we struggle to perceive God as a being with an actual form. That doesn’t mean celestial beings won’t continue to be influential in wider aspects of God’s creation that are beyond our understanding. And that influence may filter down to all sorts of lower life forms by various means. But it appears that the current situation where we can enjoy the actual spirit presence of a divine being who once lived on earth will pass – unless we have become one of them.

It appears that our future when we walk the path of divine love is going to be very different to that of others who make different choices, which is not to say that they won’t enjoy considerable happiness in whatever environment they’re in. But the predicted closing of the celestial kingdom shows that God isn’t waiting for us indefinitely. Neither is the rest of creation waiting for us. This is true even though time as we understand it is said not to exist in the spirit world. Celestial beings, who are immortal, are said not to experience time, but it appears that other spirits, who think they don’t experience time, may be mistaken in certain respects.

The closing of the celestial kingdom can be seen as the fulfillment of the predicted biblical separation of the sheep and the goats, the so-called second death. It also fulfills another biblical prediction. In the Padgett Messages, John (on 15 March, 1917) explains that when Jesus said, ‘Work while it is day, for the night comes when no man can work’, he meant that while the kingdom is still open to new entrants we should help others embrace divine love. And when its doors close, the work of the angels must come to an end, with humans and spirits left to face their future in the spirit spheres. May all choose wisely.

Why Let God Be A Stranger?

I’ve always felt that God must exist but, for most of my life, my thoughts never got much further than that. Now I know a lot more about why we struggle to feel close to God (and how to remedy this situation).

For one thing, God is eternal and therefore timeless. The material mind by comparison operates in the dimensions of time and space and therefore cannot perceive the divine, timeless realm that God exists in. So God remains invisible to us, which often leads us to assume God must be present in the things we see around us in nature. However, we’re told in the Padgett Messages that the universe is merely the handiwork of God and that God’s place of habitation is high up in the heavens. To understand how we can connect to God we first need to understand what we are.

We were created as a soul long before we were born on earth. When we incarnated on earth, we gained a spirit body and a physical body, with the soul residing in the spirit body. Apparently, the norm is for spiritually advanced civilisations in the universe to have only a soul mind and to experience everything from this one centre of consciousness. It seems that mankind’s freewill choice to not live in harmony with God created a schism in our consciousness, whereby our awareness fragmented into three (material mind, spirit mind and soul mind). The material mind developed extensively over time and became dominant, leading to an almost total ignorance of all things spiritual. Hence why it’s so easy to believe God doesn’t exist.

The soul is a creation of God and not an emanation. This means our soul, which was made only in the image of God, lacked any divinity at the point at which it was created. However, the potential exists for the soul to become divine, as explained to us in the Padgett Messages (by praying earnestly for God’s divine love to fill our soul). Regardless of the fact that we were not created as divine beings, each of us is a dearly loved child of God. The gift of having a soul is reserved for only the highest of God’s creations.

Using the material mind to explore reality ultimately reveals the limitations of the mind – boundaries beyond which the mind cannot go. Letting go of the mind in meditation can reveal the primal nature of self. A great sense of peace, love and unity can be experienced, but even this isn’t God.

One can connect to God just by having an earnest desire to do so, even without having any soul development to speak of. But any perceptions we have of God while our soul remains undeveloped will be very limited in scope. This is because the raw perceptions of the soul can’t perceive that which is divine. God has a personality and we can develop an intimate, personal relationship with God similar to that between a child and a parent. To establish this relationship, our desires must be heartfelt. We can use God’s laws to fuel the relationship. When we give then we will always receive – so if we invite God to help us or we hand over our problems then this will inevitably result in a response. Don’t take my word for it – try it and see! Our prayers are more powerful when we include love and gratitude in our requests. The divine love that we receive through our prayers deepens our relationship with God far more than anything else we can do.

The highest realisation that can come to a soul that hasn’t been developed by divine love occurs when the natural love that one is born with is completely purified. One is then in the perfect state that mankind enjoyed before the fall, many millennia ago, into a state of depravity. There’s a saying that no river can rise higher than its source and while this perfect state of being heightens one’s perceptions and brings amazing abilities and experiences, it doesn’t open the door to divine reality.

New senses and perceptions must be developed in the ‘mind of the soul’ through receiving divine love before a true conception of God can arise. Divine love is an emanation arising from God’s soul and when it becomes part of us in response to our prayers then we inherit some of the characteristics and abilities that God has, including immortality. A new soul awareness starts to emerge that we didn’t have prior to receiving divine love.

God always intended for divinity to be a freewill choice, which is why no soul is created as divine from the outset. The impulse to sin cannot possibly exist in a being that is wholly divine. (The human mind may rationalise that it would be better if we’d all been made divine, since none of the human-made suffering in the world would ever have happened. But God has given us the chance to learn from experience the consequences of turning away from God. God did not create sin – it exists only insofar as we indulge our appetites for it.)

Although we grow to become ‘as one’ with God in the process of becoming divine, our sense of being an individual doesn’t change and we do not become God. We grow to feel we’re an intrinsic part of the whole of creation in a profound manner while retaining our sense of identity. It has never been revealed to us whether this sense of being an individual can ever be lost, but the most spiritually advanced beings who once lived on earth have told us that they are still finite individuals (even after becoming wholly divine), with all the limitations that implies. However, these limitations are significantly less than what we experience on earth and reduce over time as we grow in divine nature.

Since divine love is an emanation of God then when this love lodges in our soul it means that part of God is in us. God becomes a co-creator in our lives. As we progress, the intimate connection that we feel with God allows us to know what we should do in any given situation. We aren’t under any obligation to go along with this inner voice but it has our best interests and the best interests of all at heart.

And so, over time, we learn that it’s best to always do what God wants us to do, in a similar way to how we know to follow our conscience. Eventually, we gladly surrender our free will to God’s will out of a sense of love and gratitude. Our deepest desire at that point is to be fully in harmony with God’s laws and find our right place in all of God’s creation. However, we never lose our individuality and we never become God.

As we become more divine, we develop an ability to see God’s actual form. The greater the amount of divine love we possess, the more ‘in focus’ our perception of God becomes. The divine love path is the highest path that any entity that has a soul can take. Why let God be a stranger? The state of the world alone should be enough to make us want to wake up and understand God’s laws. Herd mentality is driving the world towards a looming catastrophe. God is love and love is the answer to every problem. Embracing God and letting God embrace us in divine love will solve the world’s problems and open the door to an eternal future in the celestial heavens.

The Divine Wavelength.

My divine guides recently informed me about something they call the divine wavelength. It’s the wavelength that we can use to more easily connect to our guides, similar to how we use a specific phone number to phone a friend.

Humanity has created a powerful reality for itself through millenia of material thoughts that have resulted in the solidification of our crude human consciousness. We accept our daily reality because it feels natural and because our soul perceptions, which have the potential to embrace a wider reality, are undeveloped in most people. The human wavelength manifested by our countless combined thoughts is powerful and creates a mindful reality that’s difficult to escape from.

But we possess a soul that can be developed into a divine powerhouse that opens up new divine vistas to our soul mind. The fuel that powers this revolution is divine love, given to us freely by God when we ask for it sincerely. When we attempt to connect to God and our divine guides, we have the option to tune into the divine wavelength, which underpins all divine existence throughout God’s creation. We step into divinity by accepting the gift of God’s divine love. Divine reality transcends what we experience in the material world.

The divine wavelength is like a fingerprint that marks the object that emits that frequency as a divine entity. It’s much shorter than what we normally experience and therefore represents a much higher rate of vibration. As we start receiving divine love, it is something we can tune into to connect to our soul. When a spirit tries to communicate with us, we can use this wavelength to check that they are indeed of divine status. It acts like a beacon, literally an emitter of divine light.

Focusing on the divine wavelength is a way of raising ourselves above the material world that traps us in a mundane existence. It uplifts us and allows us to home in all things divine that exist in a higher dimension that is inaccessible to us until our souls are developed in divine love.

Becoming A Warrior For God.

The prophets of old in the bible were often true warriors for God in the best sense of that word. We tend to admire them for that. But have you considered what it would be like to be a modern day warrior for God?

It’s not as if there isn’t any need. Everything that could go wrong in the world is going wrong, as we know only too well. We also know the reasons for this dismal state of affairs: turning our backs on God, excessive materialism,  and so on. Most of those dear warriors existed before the time of Jesus and so couldn’t have experienced the biblical new birth of their souls in divine love. Nor did they have the help of millions of spirits who have been reborn in God’s love as divine angels in the interim. We have access to both. There is literally nothing they did that we cannot do, and more besides. The question for those who believe in God is: does the prospect of being a warrior appeal enough for you to dive straight in or are you wedded too much to your material lifestyle?

The first point to make is that God looks after those who are faithful servants on earth. We’ll be guided, protected and our needs will be met. As we grow in God’s love, our inner life becomes more meaningful to us than many aspects of the external world that we previously held dear. We shine a divine light that acts as a beacon for those in need. Our increasing faith allows us to use God’s laws to do things that may appear miraculous to others. We can give up our sense of attachment to earthly things without having to live like a hermit in a cave. The fundamentals of our material life may not change much at all.

Nor is it necessary to be able to prophesise like in the olden days. We can all see the trajectory the world is on towards destruction, even without having any divine love in our souls. Some choose not to look at the dire state of the world and not to change – they are the ones who need our help the most.

When we were young we were effectively brainwashed by society into adopting a set of values that precluded any possibility of what I’m saying from becoming reality for pretty much all of us. I’d given up on the bible as containing too many errors. But in the Padgett Messages, I found a re-interpretation of the bible that was more amenable to reason and which was, in fact, dictated to the medium, James Padgett, by those spirits of olden times who are now glorious angels. Eva Peck, in her book, ‘New Birth – Pathway to the Kingdom of God’, gives a wonderful summary of the true way to interpret the bible in the light of these modern revelations.

There are lots of things in the bible that don’t make much sense without this additional knowledge. Why did the apostles talk about being above the law? Why did Jesus talk about resurrection to eternal life when it was common practice even before his coming for prophets to speak to spirits who had survived bodily death? Why does the bible talk about us becoming a ‘new creation’ when we experience the new birth? What was the actual power that fueled the early rise of Christianity, which, for the most part, has clearly been lost in the meantime?

Only by understanding the true role of the Holy Spirit, divine love, the soul, the material mind, divine consciousness, the celestial kingdom and Jesus’ true message of salvation can we become modern day warriors for God. It’s not necessary to be an actual warrior, it’s more of a temperament thing – lots of divine angels are exceedingly meek, while some are more feisty when the need arises, while also being exceedingly loving. I’m not suggesting that we should place ourselves in physical danger – being a prayer warrior is a wonderful way of being of service.

However, in the battle that is raging in the world between darkness and light, bravery is essential for all of us who aspire to do God’s will, so in that sense we do become warriors. The true armour of God is to lose yourself in God’s embrace, thereby receiving God’s divine essence that remakes your soul as a divine soul, resplendent in purity, truth and love. This love is the greatest power that exists. Any sincere prayer for protection will invoke a response but divine love, which is incorruptable and full of God’s power, is the ultimate armour that we can don in our perilous journey through life.

To be a warrior, or not to be a warrior? That is the question.

Soul Awakening: An Appointment With God.

Most people in the world are lost in everyday material existence. This isolation from God has been created in large part by mankind’s long-standing desire to be independent from any source of external control. As a result, our actions are often not in harmony with God’s laws, bringing unnecessary suffering to all life on the planet. Rectifying this situation is an urgent necessity if we are to avoid destroying ourselves and the planet.

The soul is our one and only gateway to God. God is soul and soul speaks only to soul (see 1 below). The power of the mind tends to drown out the gentle promptings that arise from the soul, making us doubt its existence. The Padgett Messages, written a century ago, provide great insight into what the soul is and how it can be developed. We are told that divine love, brought to us by God’s Comforter in response to our heartfelt desires, transforms the soul to become ‘as one’ with God. During this process of transformation from the image of God to God’s divine essence, the soul develops new awareness and perceptions, allowing us to experience God and divine reality. This is the path that God wants all of us to choose. It’s not that God won’t ensure the happiness of those who choose another path, for God cares for us all, but without divine love our existence will only be a shadow of what it could be.

Growing in divine love allows us to establish a deeply personal relationship with God. As we progress on the path to divinity, we start to feel true joy, peace and fulfillment. God has a form, but not one we can see with human or spirit eyes. Metaphorically, we have been received into God’s waiting room and may even have sensed God’s presence to some extent, but we have not yet seen God through the eyes of the soul. However, the hour of this destined appointment with God approaches ever closer.

As divine love builds within us, new soul perceptions create the real possibility, and eventual certainty, of seeing the form of God, just as clearly as we see others around us. This is the second stage of development, where we go from the waiting room to being in the living presence of God. Words cannot express the profoundness of this experience, but it is a truly momentous occasion for every soul. Beyond this significant milestone, divine love continues to power our soul growth, allowing us to engage in an ever more intimate relationship with God in which countless further layers of reality open up to us. The more we grow in divine love, the more ‘in focus’ and detailed our soul perception of God becomes.

However, unless we develop an entirely new soul awareness through receiving divine love, God and divine reality simply aren’t accessible to our senses. This explains why scientists have never found God – all their explorations have been through the material mind, which is the wrong tool! God exists in a dimension that is open to us only when we have been reborn as a divine soul. This is a stark illustration of why we should avoid becoming overly enamoured with the material mind. We also have the distressing example of the wanton destruction of the world around us caused by millions of unfettered minds that are not being kept in check by soul wisdom.

Sadly, it’s not just scientists who put too much trust in the power of the mind. Many who desire a spiritual awakening lose themselves in endless intellectual analysis of their beliefs, as anyone who has dipped into the vast body of religious and spiritual literature can confirm. They too are lost souls in that they have not yet found God in the profound way that those on the divine love path will experience. While intellectual beliefs can be useful, no amount of mindful dissection will lead to soul awakening. However, there are benefits to meditation, and detaching from the mind may result in a degree of self-realisation. But only engaging with the soul through divine love leads us to God realisation. Prayer is the tool, faith is what ensures success and divine love is the fuel for our inner transformation. Rather than just having a soul, we become the soul. All will eventually become their soul, which is our real identity, regardless of the path they choose, but with the addition of divine love the soul reaches its full potential.

We should resist any desire our minds have to over-elaborate and complicate the truth. The core truths are simple and need no window dressing. All of us on this path are responsible for preserving the integrity of the teachings for future generations. Truth is an inherent part of the divine love we receive and further revelations of spiritual truth can never be forced by use of our intellect in isolation. (There is indeed a place in our lives for the intellect – it’s just not the place that mankind in its lack of wisdom chooses to give it!)

My sincere desire is that all who read these words will open their gateway to God widely and frequently. There’s no limit to the amount of divine love we can receive. For your own good I urge you to rebel against what society wants you to be and secure for yourself an eternal future in God’s celestial kingdom. Help others to make the same freewill choice. The need for us to awaken is now urgent, which is why I am being inspired to write so plainly.

But we can do God’s will on earth and still make room for our personal dreams. So why not aim high and earnestly seek to meet with God ‘face to face’, knowing that having chosen to awaken in God’s love your request will never be denied?

Note 1:

Padgett Messages, message from Luke, 25 April 1918: ‘Only soul can speak to soul and mind is only a helper.’

Padgett Messages, message from John, 22 October 1918: ‘… only soul can deal with soul…’

Dr Samuel’s Revelations: ‘On this rock I will build my Church’:
‘… for God does not speak directly to mortals.’

Not Being A Bystander In Your Own Life.

Love is the highest expression of consciousness. It’s the creative power behind all that exists, other than what humans create through negativity. As we become ever more loving, we fulfill the purpose of existence.

Divine love – the highest form of love – is entirely non-material, but intermingles with and saturates all the physical space in our universe and beyond. This love is accessible to our soul. When our soul has been transformed by divine love in response to our prayers, the door to a higher dimension opens and, after we leave this world, we can step into the celestial realm of the spirit world.

Divinity is free. But for many, these great truths seem highly improbable, so it’s easier to reject them than to accept them. Living solely within the highly localised consciousness represented by our material mind is a freewill choice that seriously restricts our ability to receive the many blessings that God wants to shower on us.

As we progress on the divine path, less and less of the fruits of that journey can be recognised by the perceptions of the material mind. What exists in a higher dimension is invisible to the mind, but not to the developing soul. At some point, the material mind becomes irrelevant, except for dealing with worldly affairs. For the mind to become a mere bystander in our life is a situation that few can easily accept.

The reality that we aren’t our mind can sometimes be accepted conceptually but rarely is it accepted and experienced as fact. We stop being a bystander when we step into divine awareness, which exists only in the soul mind. The material mind plays a role when starting out on the divine journey, since the will must be directed to the process of praying and other activities that secure us on the path. Thereafter, it becomes increasingly irrelevant, as the soul mind comes into ascendancy.

Our soul knows the physical body will die and is indifferent to that fact. Its own existence is unaffected. This shows that the part of our consciousness that in many people is terrified of dying has somehow split off from the soul. At least it appears to have when viewed from the perspective of the material mind. But the soul encompasses the material mind, which is just an adjunct, something our minds struggle to truly acknowledge.

The way to the highest truth – through divine love – is simple, but few accept it because they can’t visualise what their undeveloped consciousness can’t comprehend. That’s why it starts out as a journey of faith. Those who don’t invest a modicum of faith can never take the journey.

The idea that existence is no more meaningful than the mind subjectively decides it is, is an understandable but incorrect viewpoint. Life is far more meaningful than we’re capable of comprehending. God is not constrained to work within parameters that meet mankind’s expectations. The purpose of divine love is to remove our spiritual blindness and open us up to experiencing the wonders of God’s creation. As divine love accumulates in our soul, it provides us with a new consciousness and new soul perceptions that allow us to explore ever more of creation. Our spiritual guides, who are further along the path than we are, help us in this transformation.

For the spiritually blind to see, requires a deep awakening within. Not just acquiring new intellectual beliefs, however profound, but a deep remaking of our core being by adding a new consciousness that is itself pure love. This is accomplished by the transformative power of divine love.

Why Have There Been So Few Saints?

Looking back in history, one is struck by how few recognised saints seem to have existed amongst the billions who have lived. Why is this you might ask?

My theory is that, typically, the spiritual acolyte, just like the rest of us, embraces the human mind, contrary to what one might suppose. Most of us turn our minds outwards and engage with the world, while the acolytes turn inwards to study themselves or God. For the spiritually inclined, controlling their thoughts and developing strong morals does, indeed, lead to great moral purity and harmony with God’s laws. They may even succeed in negating the power of the mind to a certain extent (I’ll come to spiritual ‘realisation’, shortly). But because the human condition is so deeply ingrained in us, it’s a long, hard path. It seems few emerge victorious within their allotted human lifespan to the point of becoming widely revered for their saintly ways.

What’s the alternative? The answer is simple but not obvious. It turns out that we can never truly become what God wants us to be by embracing our minds, regardless of the direction we head in or the progress we make. There’s an upper ceiling to where such a path leads. We’re told countless millions of spirits are now in the condition of having perfected their human nature, being free of sin and living in harmony with God’s laws. Their place of habitation is indeed a heaven of sorts. Perhaps if we were to meet them, we would regard some or all of them as saints by comparison with our own spiritual condition.

But the true saints in history never really embraced their minds. Instead, they embraced God, but predominately not through their minds. Instinctively, they opened up their emotions to God, indulging in deep, reverent prayers beseeching God to embrace them. These emotions have their origin in the soul, not the mind. In doing so, they opened up their soul and received a great inflowing of God’s divine love, brought by God’s Comforter, which fundamentally changed them. Over time, as this process was repeated, they were utterly transformed to become the real living saints of history. This is the road less travelled, which is why so few real saints have ever existed.

Although they didn’t achieve the colossal stature of Jesus, who became wholly divine during his lifetime, they, nevertheless, demonstrated striking similarities. What is not widely understood is that this divine path leads to much faster progress than the path of developing one’s natural love and perfecting one’s nature. Nor is it just a different trajectory – it leads us to a completely different place: God-realisation rather than self-realisation. I’ve discussed the implications of each of these two outcomes elsewhere.

Today, only a relatively small number of us walk the divine path, and very few have done so from a young age. Consequently, these true saints in the making are almost invisible in terms of their global presence. Even so, their hidden impact on the world in terms of neutralising darkness through the divine light that they shine is considerable. All of us benefit from this.

Of course, their motivation is to become God’s humble servants rather than to be recognised as saints. But the barometer of real spiritual change in this world will be when we can look up in admiration at the leaders of our societies and feel the saintly, God-given love that they emanate. It’s been predicted that this will only happen once our societies break down and we recognise that our trust in our leaders and secular lifestyles has been misplaced. These events will herald the dawn of a new golden age of peace and harmony on the earth.

‘These Words Have Immortal Power’.

Like others who have read the Padgett Messages, I was struck by the apparent effortless authority of those in the spirit world who claimed to be pronouncing great spiritual truths to help mankind. There seemed to be an invisible but clearly discernible power behind the printed words.

Seemingly, some psychics have seen or felt a spiritual light enveloping the printed Padgett volumes when handling them. Those who are not psychic to any notable degree may well still get a gut feel that the Padgett Messages are special. Like in my case, I’ve heard many converts say that they knew their search for truth was finally over once they started reading the Padgett Messages.

In fact, one of my concerns when I set myself the goal of summarising the many truths that Padgett received was whether this unseen power would be lost in my version. When I raised this issue with my celestial guides, they told me that to some extent the unspoken influence of those who communicated with Mr Padgett would, in fact, be lost but that nevertheless, they would help ensure that all that was required would be presented.

I also recall that one of the first things my celestial guides ever said to me in attempting to convince me that I was actually in communication with them was, ‘There is immortal power in these words’, something that only a divine being could rightfully claim.

It’s not entirely surprising that the power of divine love, which is inextricably intertwined with divine truth, should manifest itself in ways that extend beyond mere written words. After all, divine love and truth are the living representations of God’s own power and truth.

Is The Divine Love Movement A Religion?

The divine love path is all about developing soul consciousness through receiving divine love and letting go of mindful ideas. With that in mind, I’m reticent about getting embroiled in philosophical questions such as whether it constitutes a religion or not. For all practical purposes, it doesn’t matter – at least to me. But for what it’s worth, here’s my take on it.

Discussing religion in detail would fill a book and be boring beyond words. Nor is there any hope of widespread consensus on the matter, so I’ll keep my comments brief and to the point.

A religion is most often defined as a belief in a non-human supreme being, divinity, the power of prayer, and the like. By this definition then divine love practitioners are following a religion since all of these things are intrinsically involved in the core divine teachings given to us by James Padgett.

It’s true that traditional religions tend to include ritual and dogma, which isn’t the case with the divine love movement. Nor does seeking divine love require an intermediary in the form of a religious institution between the practitioner and God. So following the divine path isn’t the same as following a traditional religion.

There are lots of spiritual movements that believe they are special and want to distinguish themselves from what’s gone before and so claim not to be a religion. But it seems to me no one outside those groups really buys that argument.

However, those beings who inhabit the celestial realms and whose souls have been transformed to be wholly divine emphatically do not see themselves as belonging to a religion. They live in a divine reality that is beyond the need for religious ideas and can actually see the form of God clearly. So these things are no longer a matter of faith for them. When you experience God’s reality then the role of religion disappears. Yes, they ‘follow’ Jesus but only in the way we might look to the head of an organisation for leadership.

Christian concepts and terminology formed the backdrop to James Padgett’s original writings. Some followers are happy to accept the Padgett Messages as essentially an extension or clarification of the bible. Others want to distance themselves from traditional religions, seeing themselves as ‘spiritual’ rather than religious. One way of doing this is to use universal language in place of overtly religious terms. For example, gender-neutral terminology might be used when referring to God. This may make the divine teachings more palatable to those who are looking for something beyond mainstream religion. Of course, the truth can be presented in diverse ways for the benefit of different audiences without diluting its power. However, it’s a tenuous argument to say that the use of universal language elevates the divine love path above being a religion.

Personally, I’m not too fussed about definitions or the terminology that’s used. I like both the clinical clarity of scientific language and the somewhat romantic imagery of the bible. But I accept that for others, the way the truth is presented could make the difference between them stepping onto the divine path or not. So I favour a diverse approach where advocates of divine love use a variety of paradigms and language styles when presenting the truth to others. There’s no one way of doing so that is perfect in all circumstances. Even Jesus switched between talking in parables and talking more plainly depending on his audience.

So, as a divine love practitioner, are you any clearer on how you would reply if someone were to ask you if you are religious? Me too!

What’s Truly Worth Having Is Free.

There’s a saying that nothing that’s worth having in life is free. Yet, God’s divine love, as explained to us in the Padgett Messages, is freely available just for the asking – the only thing in existence that can transform us beyond our imagination. Not to mention all the other blessings that God freely showers on us when we ask for them.

Could some reject divine love on these grounds alone, wary of anything that is free, believing it can’t have any value? If so, then it’s a stark lesson in how human conditioning and lack of awareness can stand in the way of true fulfilment.

No doubt many more reject divine love on the grounds that the simple premise behind it doesn’t include dazzling conceptual ideas that satisfy the mind.

All in all, it’s a sad predicament. So much unnecessary suffering where people struggle through life relying on their own efforts and where they make uninformed choices that bring suffering into their lives.

I’ve even heard people say that they envy those who have faith in God because of the comfort it seemingly gives in the face of adversity. And yet they seem unwilling to step onto any spiritual path, believing science can explain everything without the need for a supreme being to exist.

How much regret there must be when non-believers in life after death get to the spirit world. That’s why those of us who are on the divine path need to make sure that knowledge of the highest truth is readily available to those who are searching for meaning in their lives.

The one silver lining in all this is that there’s often a disconnect between our minds and souls. Sometimes, what the mind dismisses, the soul accepts. So when the seed of an idea is planted, even when rejected by the mind, it can spring into life at a later stage when the conditions are right. That’s why shining a divine light is so important. People sense you’re different and may be intrigued. It could be the soul-to-soul spark they need that will eventually ignite their conscious search for, and acceptance of, the truth.

One final point. I’ve heard it said that some spirits reject the notion of divine love on the grounds that they never heard anything about it while on earth and are therefore inclined to dismiss it. Apparently, our divine friends will bring these spirits to the earth to visit those of us who are active believers thereby confirming that there are indeed some on earth who walk this glorious path. This demonstrates how we can help others in ways we may never have imagined.

Making The Soul More Real.

How can you distinguish between your mind and your soul? How do you make the soul feel more real?

Much has been written elsewhere (such as in the Padgett Messages) about the different functions of the soul and mind, so I will settle for giving my own experience of soul awareness.

What I’m about to describe is subtle but real. Because of the subtleties involved, I will first describe things from my perspective and then I’ve asked my divine guides to give their input on the subject.

At some point after becoming acquainted with the Padgett Messages, I noticed that just filing ideas away and having an intellectual knowledge of supposed new spiritual truths wasn’t very satisfying. For one thing, I wasn’t sure that I really ‘owned’ the truth. Nor did anything change inside me just by reading a book. In short, I felt my soul was being changed by divine love but, as far as I could tell, my mind wasn’t. I knew I was missing something and had to find a way of bridging the disconnect between mind and soul.

I decided to reread all the Padgett-inspired spiritual writings I could find. I reasoned that the truth isn’t so much thoughts in my mind as a living energy in my soul. So I tried to switch my attention from the words themselves to how they made me feel, on the basis that the soul senses and acknowledges truth in a very different way to the mind.

When doing this, I would sometimes find myself reacting strongly to certain words or ideas and would often feel a flow of divine love into my soul and a change in my awareness. This subtle change was my soul starting to overshadow the mind. On reflection, I believe that contemplating the words on a deeper level was helping to open my soul to experience brief glimpses of God’s reality.

This is a practice that I’ve continued with ever since, alongside seeking God’s divine love. Yes, all of us on this path would like a momentous spiritual awakening but I’m comfortable with taking lots of little steps like those I experience.

This is my guides input on the subject:

‘When you read divinely inspired material then you are connecting with the truth. This strengthens your appreciation of the truth both on a soul level and in your mind. As a whole, you become more anchored in the truth. The recognition of this increases your faith and, as you experienced, can cause a welling up of emotions and a flow of divine love into your soul. It can also cause a download of information that helps you to a more profound recognition of the truth.

‘As you have discovered, not all of the truth is revealed at once. Different aspects become clearer as one progresses. The truth itself never changes but our perspective changes as our awareness expands.

‘When you read with an open mind and willingness to learn then changes in awareness may take place as you connect with your soul. Barriers will still remain in the mind but the rapport between mind and soul strengthens. As you now recognise, your strong focus while reading helped your normal mindful reality to fall away, making room for your soul aspirations to rise up and trigger changes in awareness.

‘There’s always the possibility that the mind will misinterpret the truth that resides in your soul and will go off at a tangent. The distinction between mind and soul in terms of the boundary between one and the other is not usually clear to you but the interaction between them can be. Becoming aware of this interaction is achievable. New thoughts can arise in your mind that you’ve never had before. When this happens on a regular basis then you would be right to conclude that this is the influence of the soul. The quality of consciousness itself may also change to something new and unexpected. This experience can be profound, depending on your willingness to step into it.

‘God has decreed that the truth be known on earth and we in the celestial realms are working to bring the truth to all of you.’

The message then finished on a more personal note that I’ve not included. Connecting to the soul is what I value most, as this is the gateway to everything I aspire to be on the divine path. If I don’t experience some change in awareness on a regular basis then I view that as evidence of slipping into complacency whereby the mind is regaining the upper hand. All of us on the divine path need to develop a strategy that makes room in our lives for our soul to flourish. Prayer must be at the heart of our efforts, but not slipping back into our normal frame of mind the rest of the time is also an important pursuit. Consciously and gently exercising our developing soul awareness when reading, or during other activities, is one way of doing this.

The Mystery Of Mysteries.

Divine love, brought by God’s Comforter into our soul in response to our prayerful desires, remains a mystery until it’s personally experienced. After that, it’s known indirectly through its effects but remains utterly mysterious in itself. It changes us profoundly, but its own pristine and incorruptible nature never changes in all eternity. As it builds in quantity inside us, this love eventually becomes who we are, yet never impinges on our personality or sense of individuality. These apparent contradictions only add to its elusive nature.

No one who experiences divine love can find adequate words to describe the sublime and overwhelming feeling of being directly touched by God. It’s a feeling that changes everything. We remain finite individuals but develop a divine sense of oneness with God.

Divine love acts as a catalyst, lodging permanently in our soul and imparting its immortal, unchanging nature to us. This causes us to become immortal. We’re told that only those who become divine are immortal. Being created in the image of God does not in itself confer either divinity or immortality since the image is not the same thing as the substance. Perhaps surprisingly, even after our soul has been completely transformed into a divine soul by this love, which is the essence of God’s own soul, we still retain the ability to change and can receive more love forever.

It helps our understanding to recognise that divine love is not just love. It’s a life force that embodies countless facets, including divine truth, knowledge, light, life and consciousness. It also germinates various seeds embedded in our soul that represent gifts that God implanted in us when we were created. These blossom  in the form of new skills and abilities as we progress, adding to our individual uniqueness.

It’s known that the divine love resides within one’s soul, but the internal structure of the soul is not well understood, at least in terms that our celestial teachers can convey readily to us in words. We’re told that a divine soul develops new senses that cause a range of new perceptions to arise, which allow us to explore higher dimensions of reality. Those without these perceptions remain totally unaware of these higher realms.

Of course, it’s not necessary for us to understand the interactions between divine love and specific parts of our being in order for us to benefit from the effects it has on us. In the end, it doesn’t matter. As possessers of divine love, we experience a wholeness and wholesomeness that is the most satisfying journey we can ever undertake.
