Separation From God Is The Worst Thing.
Imagine someone who spends a lifetime secretly hoarding money. This person, whose whole life revolves around their wealth, then finds they are suddenly and permanently separated from it. Can you imagine the suffering they would undergo? When they no longer have it, they value it more than ever.
With God, it’s different. We often place no value whatsoever in having a relationship with God until after we establish one. Only then do we realise how impoverished our lives were prior to that point. We see clearly in hindsight that our ignorance of what we were missing saved us from great spiritual suffering, far worse than what my fictional hoarder would experience after their loss. Ignorance acts as an anaesthetic in these circumstances and is a hidden blessing from God.
However, a lack of awareness in relation to which spiritual path will bring us the most happiness may blight our lives right up until we’re secure on an everlasting divine journey hand in hand with God. God’s divine love coming into our soul is what cements this close relationship and eventually convinces us that we’ve made the best choice possible.
At the heart of this problem is our tendency to dismiss things we’ve never seen or experienced based on little or no actual knowledge. At the outset, we’ve got little more than the ideas we come across and the testimony of those who’ve gone before us. Conflicting ideas abound, so how do we know what is true? As we make progress, we may feel we’ve become much wiser and that any spiritual blindness has left us, but has it?
The wise never judge the choices of others. But we should understand that the lack of awareness that we suffer from regarding what possibilities lie ahead on our spiritual journey represents the highest risk to our future happiness.
Complacency may set in. We can be extremely happy even without acknowledging the existence of God. It seems that the spiritual journey is a lottery – all will eventually find happiness, but it has been foretold that not all will find the highest happiness that is available. However, if we place truly knowing God at the heart of our desires then we can be sure that we’re on the path of our own highest good. Confirmation of this comes from those who inhabit the highest realms of the spirit world as conveyed to us in the Padgett Messages.
