Release The Dead Past.

The past lives within us as memories, good and bad. Bad experiences may also continue to live within us as a set of unresolved energies that inhibit us and stop us from progressing and embracing life in many ways. This is true even after we start receiving God’s divine love into our soul in response to our prayerful desires to be close to our Creator.

We can release these unloving, dead energies of the past in two complimentary ways. The true energy of change is God’s love. However, while this is remaking our soul as a pure divine soul, our material mind is the last part of us to capitulate to the process of spiritual transformation. We can speed up the process by being more aware of our thoughts and feelings and not indulging any that are negative. Trying to reshape our personality in this way is hard and we should pray frequently for help in releasing the burden of the negative conditioning we have built up from birth. We should have faith in the law of progression, which ensures that every effort we make in this direction is never wasted and always brings a reward, even if it can’t immediately be recognised.

The highly negative atmosphere around the whole earth, which has built up over millennia, is not conducive to spiritual progress, so we should have compassion for the predicament we all face. But if we pray diligently for God to fill us with divine love and strive to be loving towards ourselves and all others all the time, we will soon find we are much further along the path than we might suppose, certainly compared to those who never step onto the path at all or those who seek a spiritual awakening that doesn’t involve divine love.

Continuing to live with elements of the dead past still subconsciously influencing our daily outlook creates an unnecessary and burdensome element of self-made delusion in our daily lives. It can even get between us and God, so to speak, and make it harder to recognise we are receiving God’s love. Much better to release the past and embrace God’s divine reality through receiving divine love, which unlocks unimaginable abilities, insights and joy in our lives.
